Something that caught my eye on the way down to the lake. Perhaps you can identify the specific type of fungus if you are a mycologist. (as always, click on any picture to enlarge)
Other than the road/pathway (and the rocks to stop erosion) it's mostly scenery and birds down here. Here's a shot of the bluffs in this area:

At the base of the trail down is this fascinating sculpture. It is called 'Passage' by Marlene Hilton Moore (see that link for more pictures) and resembles a giant fish skeleton perhaps. It shows some recent dates of interest along one side, and some more extensive (going back 23,000 years to when Lake Iroquois covered this area) along the other.
